At Burnham we have 2 lifeboats. Our primary boat is an Atlantic 75, B733. This boat arrived in February 1997 and was officially taken into service on 7th June 1997.

Our secondary boat is a D class D519. The current boat officially entered service on the same day as the Atlantic and replaced our previous one D335.

At the same time as we received the two new boats, at the western end of the town we had a new station building and a floating boathouse for the Atlantic in the adjacent marina. This was due to the fact that the existing facilities housing the D-class at the eastern end of town were not able to support the Atlantic.
