Who are we?

Our history

Burnham on Crouch RNLI’s history dates back to 1966, when a station with a D Class lifeboat was opened. Since then we’ve saved 43 lives.

Our funding

Our activities are funded entirely by generous donations that enable us to save lives and to go to the assistance of vessels and people in distress.

Our boats

We operate a D Class ILB and an Atlantic 85 from our unique floating boathouses at Burnham Yacht Harbour at all states of tide.

Our volunteers

Our team of dedicated and highly trained volunteers who will drop everything to save a live at sea are central to our work.
