Lifeboats on station at Burnham since 1966

1966   Burnham-on-Crouch RNLI Inshore Lifeboat Station established.Initially only operational during the sailing season, it became an all year station in 1987.

1966   D73 placed on station. Funded by the St Albans RNLI Branch.

1974   D93 placed on station.

1976   D213 placed on station.

1986   D335 placed on station. This boat was given by the family and friends of Tylden Mills who died while he was the Vice-Captain of the Cooper Company and Cobern School.

1989   Original Harden House replaced with a new boathouse at the entrance to the RCYC car park when the old Petticrow boatyard site was redeveloped. The new building was entirely funded by the users of the Rivers Crouch and Roach.

1996   Prototype Atlantic 75 B700 Susan Peacock placed on temporary station duty.

1997   B733 Brandy Hole, partially funded by the Brandy Hole Yacht Club at Hullbridge, placed on station and Susan Peacock returned to the reserve fleet.

1997   D class D519 Ernest and Rose Chapman, placed on station. This boat was given by David and Barbara Chapman in memory of David’s parents.

1997   Both Burnham Lifeboats Brandy Hole and Ernest and Rose Chapman were dedicated on 7 June and the new Atlantic boathouse and shore facility at Burnham Yacht Harbour was formally opened at the same ceremony.
