RNLI Sea Safety Scheme

The RNLI’s Sea Safety Scheme is a free service for water users in which one of our team will visit you on your boat and provide free sea safety advice. To take advantage of a free pre season check on your safety gear and procedures, follow this link.

Local tides

Tidal streams in Burnham on Crouch can run at up to 3.5 knots at the top of a spring ebb. If you\’re rowing or sailing a smaller craft, it is easy to get overwhelmed by the strength of the tide and find yourself making no progress against the shore, or even going backwards. The tide data below is here to help anyone going afloat to take the time, direction and strength of tides into account.
